Smoke and chemical diving

The health check-up meets the requirements according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on Medical Checks at Work (AFS 2019:3) and the regulations on Smoke and chemical diving (AFS 2007:7). It is aimed at employees who work with smoke or chemical diving and are required by law to take place at periodic intervals.

The medical check shall be carried out:

• Within 6 months before work begins for the first time.
  
  
• At intervals not exceeding 12 months from the first work day and shall be of the same extent, except from the ECG. The periodic check-up may be postponed by a maximum of two months.
  
  
• Before the resumption of work involving smoke and chemical diving, if more than 12 months have passed since the last medical examination.
  
  
• Before continuing work for the victim of illness, accident or other event which may result in an increased risk of ill health or accident in smoke and dry diving.

How it works

1. Booked health check and questionnaire
   When you order the service, you as the responsible orderer specify which tasks your employee mainly works with. When the service is ordered, your employee is booked into a health check-up. The time of the visit is announced in an email to your employee and to you as the orderer. A questionnaire that your employee should have filled out for the visit is attached to the email.
   
   
2. Occupational health physician
   During the visit to the occupational health physician and occupational health nurse, a check-up and assessment of the employee's physical working capacity and lung function is carried out, as well as sampling.
   
   
3. Certificate of service
   Your physician issues a certificate of service that will be sent to you as the orderer.
