Health check for diving at work in accordance with Section 77 of the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on Medical checks at work (AFS 2019:3), with assessment for certificate for service.
The medical check is aimed at divers as a professional group. The aim of the survey is to prevent accidents and ill health during works that includes diving.
The health check-up follows the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on Medical checks at work (AFS 2019:3) and the examinations are required by law:
- Within 12 months before diving work begins for the first time.
- Before diving work resumes and over five years passed since the last medical examination. For those over the age of 40, the same applies after two years.
- Before continuing work after illness, accident or other events that may result in an increased risk of ill health or accident during diving work.
- At least every five years, a periodic survey shall be carried out for those under the age of 40. For those over 40 years of age, a periodic examination shall be carried out at least every two years.
How it works
- Time for check-up
When the service is ordered, your employee is booked to a health check. The time is communicated in an email to your employee and to you as the orderer. - Appointments with sampling
During the visit the employee meets with an occupational health physician and occupational health nurse for a health check including an ECG, a spirometry, cardiac and chest X-ray, sampling, visual and hearing tests and a physical work ability tests. - Certificate of service is issued
The occupational health physician issues a certificate of service for diving work.
