The statutory check-up complies with the legal requirements of TSFS 2019:112 and applies to employees who are to resume work with safety-critical tasks on railways.
What it is
Statutory Check-Up – Railway, Re-entry is a medical assessment of employees who are to resume work performing safety-critical tasks. After the check-up, we will issue a medical statement. You call to order the service and when you do, also specify which parts within 8§ the employee will be working with:
Driving vehicles
Managing or monitoring rail services (e.g. signallers, train conductors, head supervisors)
Assess the road safety of vehicles or track installations (e.g. inspector, signal safety inspector)
Operate and work on tracks according to the operator's safety management system (e.g. train commander, traffic officer, supervisor with A, E, L or S protection)
When it should be done
When an employee has been absent for more than 30 days
When an employee has been out of service after an accident/incident
How it works
Contact us by phone Since the visit is offered as soon as possible, you need to call us to order the service. Let us know the employee's intended work task. The booked time is also notified in a text message to the employee.
Visit The visit consists of a general medical examination including sampling, drug test and CDT.
Certificate A medical statement is issued by the doctor.
Feedback The statement is sent in accordance with what was determined in the order. If the employee is not fit to work, you will be informed immediately.
Information for employees
Avoid drinking or urinating three hours before the visit.
Bring any glasses prescription/optician certificate and/or hearing aids to the visit.
Bring your previous medical statement to the visit.
